BC SPCA South Okanagan/Similkameen branch hosts open house for shelter tours, see adoptable animals – Penticton News

Saturday is Adopt a Shelter Pet Day at the South Okanagan/Similkameen chapter of the BC SPCA and the rescue has lots of activities planned.

The public is invited to tour the shelter, view new and used pet supplies, enjoy a freshly baked good and see if an animal fits the bill.

There will also be local art available for purchase by donation.

For those who can’t find a furry friend to take home, adopt their own pet rock! The shelter will also feature paint to customize any rock friend you can imagine.

All donations go directly towards the costs of caring for the animals.

Visit the SPCA at 2200 Dartmouth Drive between noon and 4 p.m. to view their open house.
