A group of needy elderly people and children from the Bessarabia Metropolis of the Romanian Orthodox Church in Moldova have received humanitarian aid from the Huşi Orthodox Philanthropic Association.

A group of priests and devout Christians from the Huși diocese in neighboring Romania visited needy parishioners in several churches in Moldova and presented them with gifts of money and food as part of an Easter campaign, the Bessarabia Metropolitan City reported.

The campaign is entitled: “We bring light to our souls at Passover.”

The report states:

The Orthodox Christian Philanthropy Association of Huşi, established with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Ignation of Huşi, is a living example of Christian solidarity and commitment to those in need. Since 2018, this non-profit organization has been carrying out social and charitable activities, currently has seven social institutions and carries out numerous humanitarian actions in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
