Family disowns son after confessing to killing his father and two sisters over property

The family of the late Mr Elias and Mrs Charity Ngozichukwuka Nwoke, from Imo State but resident of Lagos State, have publicly disowned their only son, Mr Godwin Chidi Nwoke, 24, after he confessed to killing his father, the late Elias Nwoke have murdered. and two sisters about real estate.

In the affidavit dated April 16, 2024, sworn before the Commissioner of Oath at the High Court of Lagos State, signed by his mother, Mrs. Charity Ngozichukwuka Nwoke and the Head of the Nwoke family, Mr. Adolphus Umunnakwe Nwoke, they stated that nothing unites the family and Godwin Chidi Nwoke either and the public should take note of it.

The affidavit stated:

“The family of the late Mr. Elias and Mrs. Charity Ngozichukwuka Nwoke of Imo State, residing in Lagos, jointly confirm and inform the general public of the disavowal, in whole and in part, of their son, Mr. Godwin Chidi Nwoke, for his ugly behavior, occult activities, stealing and raping, among others, which is completely against the ethics and moral etiquette of the family.”

The said Mr. Godwin openly confessed to causing the death of their father, the late Mr. Elias Nwoke and their prominent daughters, the late Mrs. Maryann C. Okafor and the late Mrs. Chigozie Jenifer (all bankers) through his occult activities.

The family had tried through various means to make Godwin Chidi Nwoke repent of his indecent behavior but to no avail. He had been taken separately to professional psychologists, churches, counseling centers, etc., but he continued with his difficult lifestyle. He was sent to a prominent preacher, from where he ran away. Every effort was made to make him abandon such a negative way of life, but he did not repent. He was once taken to the police station by a reverend father in charge of our parish church on the rape issue, where he was caught trying to forcibly obtain knowledge of the two minors in the church toilet. On another occasion, he was taken home from church after being expelled from church and was escorted home by two catechists from church. In the street of our neighbor’s home, children, especially female minors, were not spared.”

“To make the situation worse, he now focused on family assets, claiming that he was the heir apparent and that all property belonged to him. So he started threatening the lives of his mother and one of the remaining sisters that he would kill them if they refuse to hand over the documents of the properties, and openly threatened, and we did not know that he was secretly already had packed up his belongings.

“Therefore, all members of the Nwoke family had met and came out with an open disavowal, dismissing Mr. Godwin Chidi Nwoke Gideon Elias as a member of the late Mr. Elias and Mrs. Charity Ngozichukwuka Nwoke. All previous ties are then severed from him.”

“Henceforth, he will have nothing to do with the children, immediate and extended family of the late Elias Nwoke. Members of the public are hereby strongly advised to refrain from any further dealings with him on behalf of the family. This is at your own risk.”

“Let him know through this publication that nothing ties him to the family any longer,” the Nwoke family said
