Competition launched to name new pension developments

A competition has been launched for a new independent living development in Penketh, where construction will start soon.

Churchill Retirement Living has launched the competition inviting local residents to come up with a name for the new development of 56 one and two-bedroom apartments. The closing date for the competition is Friday 31 May, with the winner receiving £100 and the winning name appearing on the development itself, as well as all branding, sales and marketing materials.

The new apartments will provide attractive, high-quality, safe and self-contained accommodation, designed to enable independence, freedom and low-maintenance living for local over-60s. As with all developments at Churchill, owners will enjoy independent living and a sense of community, with a communal owners lounge, guest suite, lodge manager and 24-hour emergency call-out service.

Lisa Obertelli, Area Sales Manager at Churchill Retirement Living, said: “Our new apartments in Penketh will provide the perfect space for people looking to downsize and enjoy freedom, security and a sense of community. With construction starting soon, we are excited to hear suggestions from local people so we can choose a suitable name for the development. Anyone interested in learning more can now also sign up for updates and be among the first to know when the apartments become available for sale.”
To enter the naming competition, send your proposed name and the reason for it, together with your name, address and telephone number to: Freepost, CHURCHILL RETIREMENT LIVING, PENKETH NAMING COMPETITION or by email to (email protected) by May 31, 2024 (and please note that Churchill Retirement Living development names always end in ‘Lodge’). If more than one person suggests the winning name, the winner will be chosen at random. The chosen name must be approved by the local government.
