Al Ain Zoo celebrates World Veterinarian Day

Al Ain Zoo is celebrating World Veterinarian Day, which falls on April 27 this year and has the theme: “Veterinarians are essential healthcare workers.” The zoo has witnessed remarkable achievements in veterinary and animal care over the years, relying on the application of the very best international standards.

The veterinary team consists of doctors, assistants and veterinary technicians with a full range of specialized certificates in veterinary care, who continuously upgrade their knowledge and experience by participating in training courses that develop their skills in caring for animals of different species developed. categories and species to ensure the safety and health of all animals. Over the past four years, 19 students from different universities have been able to receive practical training at the zoo.

The zoo recently released its latest statistics, announcing that the total number of laboratory tests conducted reached 2,455 and vaccinations reached 448 doses. and that the total number of animals under his care reached 4,067 of 215 different species.
