2024 NFL Draft starts with a bang as Eminem kicks off the festivities in Detroit

The 2024 NFL Draft has kicked off at Hart Plaza in Detroit’s Campus Martius Park, and the host city turned to one of its biggest celebrities to kick off the festivities.

Detroit native Eminem took the stage with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to open draft night at 8:00 PM ET on both NFL Network and ESPN. Both networks will also reportedly have Detroit-themed surprises this evening.

Eminem welcomed current and former Detroit Lions players to the stage, including Pro Football Hall of Famers Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson, as well as Aidan Hutchinson, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jared Goff.

When is the NFL Draft?

• April 25: Round 1 (8:00 PM ET)

• April 26: Round 2 and Round 3 (7:00 PM ET)

• April 27: Round 4 through Round 7 (noon ET)
