General Ogolla’s body arrives at Senator Obama K’Ogello’s elementary school

The body of the late Chief of Defense Forces (CDF), General Francis Ogolla, has arrived at Senator Obama K’Ogello Primary School in Siaya where the funeral service is being held.

The hearse, a black Mercedes with transparent windows, carrying the coffin was received at the scene by senior military officers at exactly 11:13 am.

The plane left Kisumu airport at about 9.15am by road, escorted by police and military vehicles.

It was flown to the airport by a military aircraft.

Ogolla’s body has been at the Mashujaa Funeral Home in the Defense Forces Memorial Hospital in Nairobi since Thursday evening.

Several leaders including President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua have arrived for the service which is scheduled to end at 2pm.

The service will be carried out by the army.

Shortly after arrival it was removed and placed in a caisson pulled by senior military officers, accompanied by the clergy.
