Biden’s border mess is so bad that most people want mass deportations

President Joe Biden has made such a mess of the country’s immigration system that a majority of the population now wants the government to carry out mass deportation raids.

According to a new poll from Axios51% of the population wants the government to carry out mass deportations of illegal immigrants. Perhaps most surprising is that the policy is supported by 42% of Democrats, indicating that even the president’s own party is fed up with his handling of the issue.

Of course, Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas have mocked the nation’s immigration laws during his time in office and even fought border states’ efforts to make up for the federal government’s failures. Cities like New York and Chicago have begged for large-scale rescue operations, as buses from border states transport thousands of illegal immigrants to these major cities.

Amid this enormous strain on the country’s infrastructure, it is no surprise that a majority of people want the government to act and enforce the country’s immigration laws. In fact, the same poll found that 68% of respondents believe illegal immigration is “causing major problems in communities.”

It’s no wonder that Biden is trailing former President Donald Trump in nearly every swing state and in several national polls. By the end of Trump’s first three years, the border was under control, and policies like “Remain in Mexico” significantly reduced the number of illegal crossings.

The public has lived with the consequences of Biden’s porous border long enough that it has prompted them to support a policy that many say is among the most draconian. Right now, Trump is the only presidential candidate offering a tangible solution to a problem that has made its way into communities that have historically never been affected by illegal immigration.

If voters return Trump to the White House in November, Biden’s refusal to secure the border will be a major reason for this.
