Money that should be spent on safety, security and sustainability

Kerry Airport: €681,000 boost

Kerry Airport has received another significant funding boost – this time to the tune of €681,000.

The allocation, under the Regional Airport Program 2021-2025, will contribute to capital investments in safety and security while supporting projects with a focus on sustainability.

Education Secretary and Kerry TD Norma Foley said she has received confirmation of funding from Secretary of State at the Department for Transport Jack Chambers.

“This investment is very welcome. Kerry Airport plays a vital role in the South West, supporting vital connectivity, economic development and tourism to the region,” she said.

The funding is consistent with the Program for Government commitment to deliver capital programs needed to support services and ensure safety at regional airports.”
