BBC Radio 2’s Zoe Ball is ‘bereaved’ as she announces sad family loss

Zoe Ball was flooded with support when she announced her mother had passed away.

The Radio 2 star confirmed last month that she had temporarily stepped away from her show to care for her mother after she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The 53-year-old today confirmed that her mother, Julia, passed away while paying heartfelt tributes.




She said, “Sleep well, dear mama. Thank you for teaching us how to love unconditionally, how to always show courage and empathy, and how laughter, even in the darkest days, is the greatest gift.

“We are bereft without you, but we will hold each other so tight.” Famous fans and followers responded to the comments and shared messages of support after the update.
