New era | Three new judges from the Appellate Division take the oath

Three newly appointed judges of the Supreme Court’s Appellate Division took the oath of office on Thursday.

Those who took oath are Justice Muhammad Abdul Hafiz, Justice Md Shahinur Islam and Justice Kashefa Hussain.

Chief Justice Obaidul Hassan took oath at around 10:30 am at the Supreme Court judge’s lounge.

On Wednesday, the three Supreme Court judges were appointed to the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court.

The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs has issued a notice about this in the Government Gazette.

There are currently five judges in the Appellate Division.

They are Chief Justice Obaidul Hassan, Justice M Enayetur Rahim, Justice Md Ashfaqul Islam, Justice Md Abu Zafor Siddique and Justice Jahangir Hossain.
