The Ministry of Health stated that 84% of the target population had received measles vaccinations, and it confirmed that 6,206,829 children in Iraq had received vaccinations.

“The Ministry continues its national campaign for vaccination against measles, which started since April 14, 2024 for schoolchildren and preschoolers, as the number of those vaccinated until the ninth day reached approximately (6,206,829) children, representing 83.9% of total target throughout Iraq. , including the Kurdistan Region,” the ministry’s official spokesperson Saif Al-Bader said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA) on Thursday.
