Man arrested after ‘injury incident’ in Smithton

A Smithton man has been arrested after allegedly injuring someone earlier this week.

The 46-year-old from the small north-west town was taken into custody on Wednesday following Monday’s incident.

He is charged with wounding and possession of a dangerous article in a public place.

“He will appear in court today,” police said Thursday.

“The police would like to thank the public for their help and cooperation during the investigation.”
