Findhorn’s favorite hotel is for sale

It was the nerve center of Britain’s premier ‘new age’ centre, loved by celebrities.

Now a former Victorian hotel, once a spiritual retreat for the Findhorn Foundation in Moray, is up for sale after the settlement was deemed no longer financially viable.

For many years, Cluny Hill on St Leonards Road in Forres was used by the charity to provide accommodation for staff and to welcome participants to workshops and events.

Over the decades, Findhorn attracted visits from famous students including Burt Lancaster, Frankie Boyle, Ruby Wax, Shirley MacLaine and Hayley Mills.

The large building, which has 76 bedrooms, is now being sold by Christie and Co on behalf of the charity. The offer is in excess of £625,000.
