Visit Pasadena appoints Mandi Prince as new Communications Manager – Pasadena Now

Visit Pasadena, the official destination marketing organization for the City of Pasadena, announced Wednesday the appointment of Mandi Prince as its new communications manager. In this role, Prince will be responsible for developing and executing the organization’s PR strategies, as well as managing media relations and content creation.

Prince joins Visit Pasadena with nearly 10 years of experience in the destination marketing and public relations industry. Most recently, she served as Senior Manager of Public Relations at Santa Monica Travel & Tourism, where she oversaw media and public relations efforts in five international markets and handled all aspects of domestic media for the beach city of Los Angeles.

Prior to her role at Santa Monica Travel & Tourism, Prince held communications positions at several other companies, including Quinn Public Relations, where she led the account for the Beverly Hills Convention and Visitors Bureau.

She has also worked in roles at live events and entertainment giant Dick Clark Productions and Diamond Public Relations.

“We are pleased to welcome Mandi to the Visit Pasadena team,” said Kristin McGrath, Executive Director of Visit Pasadena. “Her experience in destination marketing, as well as her extensive knowledge of the media landscape and strong relationships with editors and journalists, will be invaluable as we continue to promote our city as a world-class destination.”

A graduate of California State University, Northridge, Prince earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations. She is also a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and holds a Professional in Destination Management certification.

“I am honored to join the Visit Pasadena team and help promote this unique city to visitors from around the world,” said Prince. “There is so much to explore in Pasadena, from its world-class museums and cultural attractions to its vibrant dining and shopping scene.”

Visit Pasadena is a nonprofit organization that markets Pasadena as a premier visitor destination. It promotes its attractions, events and businesses to boost tourism. In addition, the organization offers information and services to visitors, including a visitor center, a website and social media channels.
