Chrissy Teigen Says Meghan Markle’s Jam Is ‘One of the Best Bites’ She’s Had All Year

Chrissy Teigen is one of the lucky celebrities who received a jar of Meghan Markle’s new jam.

Earlier this month, the first product from Markle’s new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, was announced as strawberry jam. Teigen shared a video of herself making a tasty-looking sandwich for her entire family using the fruity condiment.

“We jam!! This might have been one of the best appetizers we’ve had all year – all we used is some rustic bread, salted butter, triple cream brie, thick cut bacon, and some @americanrivieraorchard jam! she wrote in the caption. “Jamming” by Bob Marley & the Wailers plays throughout the clip.

The melty sandwich wasn’t just for herself; the meal was also approved by her family.

“Took about 8 minutes total and made us happy all weekend. 🤍” she concluded the caption.

In the video, Teigen takes fans through her cooking process, starting (of course!) by spreading the jam on the crusty bread and then frying the bacon.

Teigen and John Legend’s 7-year-old daughter, Luna, appears licking the offset spatula clean of Markle’s strawberry jam.

After the mother of four assembles and cooks the bacon, brie and jelly sandwich, Legend makes a cameo in the clip and takes a hearty bite with his wife.

This isn’t the only top-notch meal the cookbook author has made for her Grammy-winning husband this month. She recently went viral for reporting her trip to China, where she went to buy $900 worth of Wagyu steak and short ribs from Legend’s favorite butcher.

“My husband John really loves short ribs and the kids were at camp, so of course I hopped on a plane to China to visit his most favorite butcher,” Teigen began in the voiceover for the satirical video, which also documented her journey. as she cooked the dish she made from her lavish purchase.

She joked about her performance on the spot with several jokes in the post.

“I stole John’s credit card before I left so paying $900 was a piece of cake,” she added as the video switched to a clip of her paying for the Wagyu steaks and short ribs before left the butcher shop with a bag and jumped back. on a plane.

At home, Teigen looked up the recipe for her braised short ribs in her second cookbook, Desire: Hungry for more.

The couple spoke about the popular video at the City Harvest Gala in New York City on April 10.

“The more I did it, I realized that realistically I do this all the time,” Teigen told PEOPLE at the gala. “So it’s not even mocking anyone. It’s actually a lifestyle that I love and want to be a part of.”

While the clip was clearly a joke, Legend told PEOPLE that Teigen actually turns their family meals into a labor of love.

“She likes to take her time and take care of the food,” he said, adding that the post is a “huge hit.”

He also said that her braised short ribs meal is his favorite recipe that Teigen makes.
