Denver opens the campaign on Oct. 5-6 with a second straight season-opening trip to Alaska, this time against Alaska Anchorage. The two programs last met in the early stages of the 2013-14 season during a neutral-site meeting in Fairbanks. Denver last traveled to Anchorage in the 2011-12 season as a conference foe in the WCHA era.

After a bye week, Denver welcomes Northeastern to Magness Arena for Homecoming Weekend. DU will raise the 10th National Championship banner at the arena on Saturday, October 19.

A second old WCHA foe in the opening month of the season will see Wisconsin visit Magness Arena for the first time since the 2016-17 season. The two-match set will be played on the weekend of October 25-26.

Denver will make its first of two trips to the East Coast in its non-conference schedule when the Pioneers visit Yale again on November 1 and 2. Before Denver swept Yale last November, the Pioneers and Bulldogs had not met since 2012. DU then returns home to celebrate the program’s 75th anniversary against Lindenwood on Nov. 8-9.

The Pioneers open NCHC play with a trip to Grand Forks to take on North Dakota on Nov. 15-16 and then host Arizona State in the first NCHC games between the two programs Nov. 22-23 . The Pioneers and Sun Devils will meet for the first time as conference foes in November after 12 previous meetings in non-conference games (Denver leads 9-2-1).

DU closes the first half of the season with a trip to Western Michigan (Dec. 6-7) and the first of two split weekends against Colorado College (A: Dec. 13, H: Dec. 14).

When the calendar turns to January, Denver will make its second trip to the East Coast, wrapping up the non-conference portion of its schedule with a trip to Maine (Jan. 3-4).

NCHC games fill the rest of the season, starting with a home weekend against Miami (Jan. 10-11) before DU’s final bye weekend of the season.

After their week off, the Pioneers will alternate home and away weekends for the rest of the trip. Further afield, Denver hosts Omaha (Jan. 31-Feb. 1), North Dakota (Feb. 14-15) and St. Cloud State (Feb. 28-March 1), while side trips include Minnesota Duluth (Jan. 24-25), Arizona State (February 7-8) and Miami (February 21-22).

The final weekend of the Battle for the Gold Pan will see Denver host the first match of the weekend on March 7 before a trip to Colorado Springs on March 8.

The NCHC quarterfinals will take place at campus locations March 14-16, with the best-of-three winners advancing to the NCHC Frozen Faceoff March 21-22.
