Dow chemical contamination case sent back to New Jersey court

New Jersey officials won their bid to counter their case Dow Chemical Co. and other companies went to state court because synthetic industrial chemicals were contaminating natural resources, including groundwater and waterways.

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the state’s attorney general have sued Dow, Vdbrantz Corp., Legacy Vulcan LLC and others for allegedly violating the state’s Spill Compensation and Control Act and the Consumer Fraud Act.
