Arts Summer Camp unites creativity and environment – The Vacaville Reporter

In July, the Vallejo Center for the Arts will host a two-week summer camp in hopes of sparking children’s imaginations. Combining artistic pursuits with the environment, the camp will center around the theme of a mythical adventure for Eco-Warriors.

This camp is a unique experience for campers of all ages, with the goal of inspiring young minds while fostering a love of the natural world.

“We are excited to offer a summer camp that combines art, nature and creativity in a way that empowers young individuals to become Eco-Warriors,” said Renay Conlin, executive director of the Vallejo Center for the Arts. “Our goal is to provide a transformative experience where campers can not only express themselves artistically, but also develop valuable skills such as creative problem solving and teamwork.”

During this summer camp, participants are immersed in engaging and interactive activities designed to promote a deep appreciation for the environment. Through hands-on experiences, campers will not only discover the wonders of nature but also grow their self-confidence through various artistic endeavors.

Campers can pursue a variety of interests with a wide range of classes including drawing, painting, printmaking, pastels, action figure drawing, photography, costume and scenic design. By exploring these diverse artistic mediums, participants can locate the vibrant sounds, patterns, colors and rhythms of their own community while honing their creative talents.

The summer camp is held at the Temple Arts Loft, in the heart of Vallejo. With its extensive artistic history, this environment will serve as a backdrop for campers as they pursue creativity under the guidance of experienced instructors.

Spaces for the Vallejo Center for the Arts’ two-week summer camp are limited, so interested individuals are encouraged to register early to secure their spot.
