The Giyani Commercial Court in Limpopo has sentenced a Ministry of Home Affairs employee to an effective prison term of eight years for fraud and corruption.

The department said the court convicted Amos Ngwenyama on Friday.

Ngwenyama, who was stationed at the Malamulele branch, accepted bribes and fraudulently issued birth certificates to foreigners.
