Foxtrot closes Alexandria restaurant

Foxtrot, the gourmet grocery store and cafe that opened a location in Alexandria in April 2022, is closing immediately.

Foxtrot’s Old Town Alexandria location is at 701 King St., on the corner of Washington Street. The company also has locations in Chicago, Dallas and Washington, DC

The closure is part of a nationwide end of business operations for both Foxtrot and Dom’s Kitchen.

In an email to customers sent just after midday on Tuesday, the companies wrote: “It is with heavy hearts that we must inform you of a difficult decision we have had to make. After much consideration and evaluation, we We regret to announce that Foxtrot and Dom’s Kitchen & Market will be closing its doors effective April 23, 2024. The closure affects 2 Dom’s stores and 33 Foxtrots in the Chicago, Austin, Dallas and DC areas. We have explored many options to continue the business but despite good results we found no viable option faith and exhausting efforts.”
