Dsit appoints engineer as first chief scientific advisor

Christopher Johnson, professor at Queen’s University Belfast, will join the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology

The UK Department of Science, Innovation and Technology has appointed Christopher Johnson as its first chief scientific adviser.

Johnson (pictured) will join Dsit in July from Queen’s University Belfast, where he is currently pro vice-chancellor for engineering and physical sciences, Dsit announced on April 23.
