Viral news: Hritwik Haldar, a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), shared his personal story in a LinkedIn article.

Hritwik, like many young people from middle-class families, aspired to become a doctor or engineer. After completing the tenth grade from a Bengali secondary school, he decided to pursue science.

In his post, Hritwik wrote, “From an average schoolboy in a Bangladeshi high school to a budding Graduate School at MIT, one thing was common: Whenever I got an opportunity, I did my best to utilize it to the fullest. ”

Hritwik credits his encouragement to delve deeper into topics outside the curriculum to his chemistry teacher. Hritwik made the decision to take the entrance exams for engineering and medicine when he started showing interest in science.

Despite getting a mark of 93.4 percent in his twelfth board exam, he did not do well in JEE or NEET.

“I was a very average student during my school years. During the period from classes VII to X, I was not among the top students, and I lacked proper guidance on effective study methods. Memorizing didn’t appeal to me, and I started to hate studying. However, things started to change during my tenth class when I shifted my focus to understanding concepts instead of memorizing them.” Hritwik claimed.

Hritwik called Virat Kohli his ‘role model’ before concluding, saying he taught him that success can only come from sustained hard effort.

“Since Virat Kohli is my role model, I always believe that not everyone has innate talent, you just need to work hard continuously to achieve success in life, just like Virat has done. So two things that helped me get to MIT (QS World Rankings – currently 1) are consistent hard work and the right use of opportunities.” Hritwik Haldar concluded.
