Mohinder Verma

Raman Bhalla, the Congress Party’s candidate for the Jammu-Reasi parliamentary constituency, is campaigning among the people with an agenda for the installation of a democratically elected government in Jammu and Kashmir and the restoration of a full-fledged state. Moreover, he promises the people that if elected to Parliament, he will make every effort to ensure tourism and industrial promotion in the Jammu region, which according to him, has received little attention from the BJP-led regime.

“At that time, it was claimed by the BJP-led government that this step would open floodgates of employment opportunities, ensure immense development in every nook and cranny of Jammu and Kashmir and revolutionize the industrial and tourism sectors, but the ground The situation is totally contradictory even after two terms in the government,” said Bhalla, who is known for his good public record and always remains at the forefront of the struggle for the cause of the common masses.

The Congress candidate said that if elected to Parliament, he will loudly raise the demand for restoration of the state and protection of all rights of local people. “The BJP’s claims regarding job creation, holistic development and improving people’s living standards have been limited to official statements since day one.”
Where is the much talked about industrial development in remote areas of Jammu? How did the employment rate decline without the establishment of new industrial units and without the creation of government jobs? asked Bhalla, adding that “tapping the tourism potential of unexplored areas is also limited to the papers and the pending fate of the Artificial Lake and the Tawi Barrage is a testament to how much serious attention was being paid to this income and employment generating sector by the BJP-led regime in Jammu region”.
“What about exploring new tourist potential areas, this government has even failed to ensure proper facilities and maintenance of Surinsar-Mansar Lakes and other already established tourist destinations in the Jammu region,” he said further and assured that he will leave no stone unturned to ensure tapping the tourism potential of undeveloped areas falling within the Jammu-Reasi parliamentary constituency.
The Congress candidate further said, “Many Union Ministers were invited during various rounds of the Back to Village program and a photo session was held claiming that there has been tremendous development in the rural areas but the fact is that many areas still crave good road connections and improved water and water supplies. power supply,” and added, “If the BJP-led government cannot provide these basic amenities to the people in the last 10 years, then they have no right to remain in power.”
“Whatever projects the government claims to have completed were started during the UPA regime. They only mislead the people during the elections. The power has gone into the minds of the BJP leaders and they cannot be easily approached by the common masses to express their grievances. On the other hand, Congress, despite being in opposition, is still approached by a large number of people to express their grievances,” he further said.
Replying to a question, Raman Bhalla ruled out any impact of delimitation on his prospects in the Lok Sabha polls and said, “There is a strong resentment brewing among the people and they will definitely teach the BJP a lesson this time and help the Congress win elections. Parliamentary constituency”.
On his priorities after winning the elections, he said the Congress party will make every effort to ensure that people living close to the borders and near the power projects get free electricity and that displaced people have long pending real receiving claims. Moreover, the PMGSY scheme will be amended so that even small hamlets will be entitled to road connectivity.
“In particular, the restoration of the state with land and job guarantees for the local population, holding parliamentary elections as early as possible, restoring the old pension system and generating employment will also be on the Congress Party’s list of priorities. Moreover, Congress will provide rail connectivity to the Rajouri-Poonch areas and make helicopter services to these hilly districts a regular feature,” said Bhalla.
