How many creatures can you see? Native Houston Wildlife at the Arboretum

The Houston Arboretum & Nature Center is home to many plants and animals native to Houston. From broad-necked snakes to armadillos and egrets hunting crawfish in the ponds, it’s a wonderful place to explore nature in the middle of the city. Christine Mansfield of the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center took Houston Life’s Melanie Camp for an Earth Day walk to see some native animals in their natural habitat. Watch more in the video above. On Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center continues their Earth Day 2024 celebrations with a free family day.
