Rajendra Vidyalaya celebrates Earth Day with recycling

Students of Rajendra Vidyalaya and KORU Foundation collaborate for recycling initiative.

In Jamshedpur, Rajendra Vidyalaya’s Earth Day celebration highlighted recycling as a key component in the fight against environmental degradation. The initiative, driven by the school’s Eco Club and supported by the KORU Foundation, saw students and teachers actively participate in waste collection and recycling efforts.

JAMSHEDPUR – Rajendra Vidyalaya’s Earth Day celebration highlighted recycling as a key component in the fight against environmental degradation.

Kiran Sinha, moderator of Eco Club and Senior In-charge, led the initiative and focused on collecting various recyclable materials, such as e-waste and plastic, from the entire student population.

Shruti Jaiswal, President of the Eco Club, led the efforts of the students from all classes to collect a significant amount of recyclable materials, setting a practical example of effective waste management.

The school’s soft boards served as an educational tool, showing creative representations about recycling and its benefits to the environment.

Teacher-led discussion sessions highlighted the urgent need to protect our environment, engaging students in meaningful dialogue about sustainability.

The school authorities, including Principal Jayanti Singh and Vice Principal Piyali Mukherjee, reinforced the message of environmental responsibility and urged the students to continue their efforts even after the event.

D. Vani, the Junior In-Charge, emphasized the importance of individual actions towards waste reduction during her interactions with the younger students.

One teacher said: “Today’s efforts are a stepping stone towards a sustainable focus on the environment at our school.”

Another teacher who attended the event said, “It’s inspiring to see our children involved in such important causes.”
