Nexus, Christus St. Vincent dispute flares up again after hospital revokes doctors’ privileges | Local news

Several doctors at a Santa Fe practice took action after learning that leaders at Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center had revoked their hospital privileges last month, a move the group’s president described as “anticompetitive.”

Two orthopedic specialists and three pain specialists at Nexus Health received notice of the change in mid-March, Dr. Scott Herbert, president of Nexus Health. According to two letters to The new Mexicanthe change was called “administrative in nature”.

The letters said providers were closing orthopedic and pain medicine service lines “as part of an effort to more fully integrate these services with hospital and clinical leadership leadership and oversight.”
