At least 43 potential crime cases were reported in Milton last week

We have the latest crime map update from the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS).

The map shows when and where reported crimes occurred in Milton. At least 43 criminal offenses took place between Monday April 15 and Monday April 22. This is what we found:

Of the 43 possible crimes, 13 were theft, ten were hit-and-run and one was outright robbery.

With the number of thefts and thefts from vehicle trunks, we recycle a message from the HRPS encouraging residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:

• Make sure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
• Never leave spare keys in your car;
• Remove valuables from view; And,
• Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
