Two Herbalife Labs achieve My Green Lab certification, bringing the total number of certified Labs to six

The company has pledged to achieve Green-Level My Green Lab certification for all of its laboratories
towards the end of 2030

LOS ANGELES, April 22, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Herbalife, a leading health and wellness company, today announced that two more of its laboratories My Green Lab Certification program, at ‘green’ level, which indicates the highest level of certification in the program. These achievements demonstrate the company’s continued progress towards its sustainability goals of reducing and achieving its environmental footprint Green level certifications for all its laboratories by the end of 2030, as outlined in the Global Sustainability Report 2021-2022. The two labs that received the most recent certification were the Center of Excellence analytical laboratory in Bangalore, India and the Quality laboratory at the Herbalife Innovation Manufacturing Facility Winston-Salem North Carolina (HIMWS). Of the company’s 19 laboratories around the world, six have so far received the prestigious ‘Green’ level certification and five others aiming for certification before the end of the year.

The My Green Lab certification is considered by the organization to be the gold standard for best practices in laboratory sustainability around the world United Nations-supported the Race to Zero campaign as a key benchmark for progress towards a zero-carbon future. To reach the Green level, eligible laboratories must meet 80 percent or more of the stated requirements Green Laboratory assessment actions implemented during the program. from Herbalife Bangalore and HIMWS laboratories each achieved more than 90 percent.

Herbalife partners with My Green Lab in 2021 to develop more eco-efficient operations for its eight quality control laboratories around the world. Since the program’s inception, three more of the company’s R&D and testing labs have joined the My Green Lab certification program.

In 2022, the company earned the first three Green level certifications for two of his Quality control laboratories in Suzhou And Nanjing, Chinaas well as its research and development laboratory Torrance, California. from Herbalife Sensory and food laboratory in Torrance, California was the fourth Herbalife lab to achieve a Green level certification at September 2023.
