‘Safari Tourist Train’ will be revised

LAHORE: Pakistan Railway is set to revive tourism with the revival of its iconic ‘Safari Tourist Train’ in partnership with a private company.

The opening ceremony will start from Sunday and will be attended by dignitaries including Railway Board Secretary Abdul-Malik and Divisional Superintendent Rawalpindi Noor Uddin at 9 am at Golra railway station.

According to sources, passengers and guests will enjoy a delectable breakfast spread before embarking on a journey rich in cultural explorations.

Travelers are treated to face painting, music and insights into the historical significance of the Pothohar region en route to Attock Khurd Station via Hassan Abdaal.

Upon arrival, a plethora of activities await, from river visits to camel rides, complemented by a sumptuous lunch of local delicacies.

The “Safari Tourist Train” promises an enriching experience, with three coaches and a salon car. With fares ranging from Rs 2,000 for economy class to Rs 4,500 for a luxury package including meals, this initiative aims to promote tourism while celebrating the vibrant heritage of the heart of Pakistan.
