Tel Aviv, April 22: The Israeli military said Monday that the head of its intelligence corps has resigned over the October 7 Hamas attack.

Aharon Haliwa, the head of Israel’s military intelligence, becomes the first senior Israeli figure to resign over the failures surrounding the Hamas attack. War between Israel and Hamas: 14 Palestinians killed during ongoing Israeli military operation in the West Bank.

Haliwa had said in October that he took the blame for failing to prevent the attack, which broke through Israel’s vaunted defenses. (AP)
