‘She refused religious conversion’: Congressman Hubballi on why daughter Neha was killed, demands CBI probe

Congress councilor Niranjan Hiremath on Monday made a major revelation about the murder of his daughter, Neha, claiming that she was killed because “she denied religious conversion”.

Neha Hiremath, daughter of Congress councilor of Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) and a first-year Master of Computer Applications (MCA) student at KLE Technological University in Hubballi, was earlier murdered in broad daylight by her former classmate Fayaz at her college this month . Neha’s murder on her college campus had sparked widespread condemnation across the state.

“She was a true devotee like Sharnu Paddati. They forced her to convert. As she did not agree to religious conversion, she was killed,” Niranjan Hiremath said.
