The death has occurred of Pat (Patrick) Ambrose

From Tenekilla, Ballyhahill

Pat passed away peacefully on May 2, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his sister Sr Brigid and brother Con. Beloved husband of Mary and proud father of John, Patrick, Gerard and Tom. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Father John, Tom and Willie, his sisters Sister Mary, Kate, Ita, Anne, Sister Nora and Frances, his daughters-in-law Maura, Deirdre, Mary and Nicole, his adored grandchildren Keileigh, Michael John, Jane , Eimear, Donnacha and Aoibhe Mai, his extended family, friends and very friendly neighbors.

May he rest in eternal peace

Resting at the Church of the Visitation Ballyhahill on Sunday 5th May from 5pm to 8pm. Requiem Mass on Monday, May 6 at 12 noon at Visitation Ballyhahill Church, with burial to follow in Loughill Cemetery. The death has occurred of Gunter Martin

From Glasgow Park and previously from Germany.

Gunter died peacefully, surrounded by family, at St. John’s Hospital, on May 2, 2024.

Sadly missed by his loving family, wife Mary, daughters Elke and Ute and their brother Oliver, extended family and friends.

Resting at Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate on Monday, May 6, from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM, arriving at Shannon Crematorium for the funeral service at 4:00 PM.

The death has occurred of Sheila McElgunn

From Daughters of Charity, Lisnagry

Passed away peacefully on May 1, 2024. Much loved and cherished daughter of the late Joe and Sheila. Deeply regretted by her siblings Roisin (Carey), Finola, Deirdre (Fox), Clodagh (Kavanagh) Maeve and John; her brothers-in-law, Cormac, Mats, Richard, Edward, sister-in-law Elaine, nieces and nephews, great-nephews and great-nephews. Also deeply mourned by her loving community at the Daughters of Charity (Avista), Lisnagry.

Special thanks to the staff and her friends at her home, The Oaks, day services and community homes. They provided Sheila with every opportunity to achieve her own personal fulfillment.

Sheila lived a beautiful independent life, full of care, compassion and laughter.

May her kind and gentle soul rest in peace.

In accordance with her wishes, Sheila’s funeral will take place privately.

Died on April 12, 2024, aged 63.

A lively, charming and authentic character, Seamus will be dearly missed by his loving partner Anne, his siblings; Anna Maria, Eileen, Thomas, Martin, Catherine; their partners, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbors and friends.

John will be sadly missed by his loving daughters Josephine, Noreen (Corkery), Margo (Hennessy), Kay (Kelly) and Trish (Lambe), sons Seamus and Ger, dear friend Rena, brothers Mossie, his 14 grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law , daughter-in-law Sinead, sons-in-law Ramon, Ray, Ger, Eric and Colin, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbors and a wide circle of friends.

Patsy died peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on May 2, 2024.

Beloved wife of the late Noel, dearest mother of Deirdre, Declan, Tony and Noelle and beloved grandmother of Cian, Conor, Jessica, Ailbhe, Emily and Mark. Missed by her loving family, daughters-in-law Mary and Patricia, son-in-law Bernard, nieces, nephews, wonderful neighbors and friends.

The funeral will take place on Saturday, May 4 at St Munchin’s Church, Clancy Strand, before the Requiem Mass at 10am. Burial followed in Kilmurry Cemetery, Castletroy.
