Seoul Festa, an annual spring festival organized by the Seoul city government, will kick off next week for a three-day run, allowing participants to enjoy the city’s allure, cuisine and atmosphere, city officials said Monday.

Seoul Festa 2024 will take place from May 1 to 6 at Seoul Plaza, Gwanghwamun Square and other locations in central Seoul with the theme “Enjoy All That Seoul”, featuring a variety of cultural, fashion, dining and other entertainment events, the officials said.

From May 1 to 3, Seoul Plaza will host a party zone with the opening party on the first day, along with cultural events, performances and a dance event called “K-Star Challenge” on the following two days.

Meanwhile, Gwanghwamun Square will host ‘Seoul Style Road’ from May 1 to 6, a six-zone program of experimental offerings showcasing the city’s culture, fashion and beauty.

On May 4, the “Seoul Road Show” will transform Sejong-daero, a street along Gwanghwamun Square, into a huge stage with performances and other experimental activities.

As part of the festival, a barbecue picnic event will also be held at Noeul Park in Seoul’s western Sangam district from May 4 to 5, along with several other events around the city.

“Seoul Festa, a representative spring festival, is a golden opportunity to experience the culture and allure of Seoul in one place,” said a city official. (Yonhap)
