The BFC Foundation has welcomed Andin Fonyonga to its board of directors. Fonyonga joins fellow trustees David Pemsel, Pam Batty, Laura Strain and Caroline Rush.

Fonyonga is a senior lawyer and fashion enthusiast leading a legal and compliance function for a global e-commerce fashion retailer. She has more than 15 years of legal, compliance and governance experience, having previously worked at Hogan Lovells, a global law firm, and BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager. She is passionate about combating social inequality and known for driving business and cultural change. Fonyonga, a born and bred Londoner, previously served on the board of trustees of The Kids Network, a children’s charity based in London, BFC said in a press release.

“I look forward to working with my fellow trustees to continue the important work of the BFC Foundation. Together we share the same mission: to continue to provide funding to young creatives, scientists and designers, and ensure we deliver impactful initiatives, drive awareness and build momentum where it matters most. This is especially important as we focus on supporting the BFC community and talent as they face increasing headwinds and uncertainty,” said Fonyonga.

Since 2020, the BFC Foundation charity has worked hard to strengthen its structure and strategy; developing a growing global Patron program (led by Tania Fares and Narmina Marandi), expanding fundraising targets and, most importantly, strengthening the charity’s governance.
