PM Modi jokes about Rahul and Akhilesh’s friendship and says ‘appeasement politics behind 2 UP Boys alliance’

Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections 2024: PM Modi has attacked the Samajwadi Party government in UP over their 2012-17 rule.

New Delhi: In a fresh attack on the INDIA bloc, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the people of Uttar Pradesh and the OBC community should be aware of the ‘dangerous game’ being played by the opposition parties by trying to ‘take away’ their reservation rights ‘ and give them to their vote banks”.

Notably, Prime Minister Modi’s comments came in the wake of the row that broke out after the National Commission for Backward Castes pointed out that the Karnataka government has categorized the entire Muslim community in the state under the OBC category, causing ‘injustice’ to the is inflicted on people. of the OBC community.

Prime Minister Modi joked about the alliance between Congress and Samajwadi Party and said that the basis of the friendship between the two guys in UP (Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav) is the politics of appeasement.”

Addressing a public meeting in Agra on Thursday, PM Modi said: Remember when Congress had tried something similar in 2012, just before the UP Assembly elections? They had tried to give some of the OBC reservation to minorities on the basis of religion. But they could not achieve their intentions.”

“The people of UP and especially the OBC community will have to understand this dangerous game of the SP Congress. Dalits, backwards, will have to understand this game of the SP Congress,” he added.

He alleged that the Karnataka Congress government has secretly deprived the rights of OBCs and they want to do the same to backward communities wherever they come to power.

“The Congress government in Karnataka has overnight converted all the Muslim castes in Karnataka into OBCs by stamping a paper and directing them to become the owners of this 27 percent and loot it. They have deprived the OBCs of their rights. Congress plans to do that. play the same game in UP; are performing the same feat wherever they get an opportunity in the country, they secretly want to rob the rights of the OBCs, SCs and STs from the back door and give them away. the Samajwadi Party also fully supports them,” PM Modi said.

The Prime Minister also accused the Congress of advocating religion-based reservations despite judicial restrictions.

“The same Congress has repeatedly advocated reservations on the basis of religion in their manifestos, both in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. The nation’s Constitution and courts have repeatedly barred Congress from doing so, rejecting every argument they have made. They have now decided to grant reservations on the basis of religion, and for this they have found a way to steal from the 27 percent quota for OBCs, quietly snatch away and grant reservations on the basis of religion,” he said further.

PM Modi attacks Samajwadi Party

Prime Minister Modi has further said that the Samajwadi Party is only betraying the Yadav community (considered traditional voters of the SP) for their appeasement and vote bank politics.

“SP and Congress want to take away the rights granted to these communities by the Constitution and give them to their vote banks. For the vote bank, Samajwadi Party is betraying Yadavs and backward communities. Both Congress and the SP are steeped in reconciliation. politics and have a similar line of thought. In speeches they talk about OBC, but through the backdoor they want to give their rights to their vote banks,” the Prime Minister said.

Prime Minister Modi further attacked the INDIA bloc, saying that as long as he is there, no one can commit the sin “of taking away the rights of SC, ST, OBC and women’s ‘mangalsutra’.

“Do you want to hand over your properties to the corrupt SP-Congress alliance? Before you plunder the rights of the SC, ST and OBC and look at women’s mangal sutra, ‘Jab tak Modi zinda hain, aisa koi bhi paap karne se pehle aapko Modi se nipatna padega’…”

This no longer happens under Yogi ji’s rule, so you all may have forgotten it, but I want you to know all remember…The Yogi government came to power, these people were sent to the right place,” he further said.
