Hanesbrands on track for zero waste activities by 2025

Hanesbrands 2023 Sustainability Summary Report states that it is making progress towards achieving its 2025 and 2030 goals around the ‘people, planet and products’ pillars that include the Hanes, Champion, Bonds, Maidenform and Bali brands.

Progress against 2025 and 2030 commitments

  • Hanesbrands said it plans to help improve the lives of at least 10 million people by 2030 and has reportedly impacted 3.4 million lives since it began tracking its efforts in 2021.
  • It will encourage employees to average at least eight volunteer hours per year by 2030 and has grown to employ salaried employees averaging nine volunteer hours per year.

Our strategic investments in sustainability have delivered $23 million in savings since setting our 2020 goals, including more than $10 million in savings by 2023.”

Bratspies also noted that in 2023, Hanesbrands employees increased their commitment to achieving the group’s goals around People, Planet and Product through the employee-driven ‘I’m In’ program, which attracted 90,000 commitments from the captured a global workforce that pledged to implement sustainable implementation. practices in their lives.
