Search warrant yields two arrests in Carthage

The Moore County Sheriff’s Department seized suspected fentanyl, buprenorphine hydrochloride, clonazepam, Lunesta, Xanax and drug paraphernalia after executing a search warrant in the 100 block of Old Steed Place in Carthage on Wednesday.

Twenty-nine-year-old Darian Janus of Carthage was arrested and jailed in the Moore County Detention Center under a $40,000 bond. Lindsay Everett, 33, of Lakeview was arrested and booked into the detention center under a $30,000 bond.

Janus is charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance (fentanyl), misdemeanor possession of a schedule II controlled substance (fentanyl), keeping a vehicle/dwelling/place -controlled substance, simple possession of schedule IV -controlled substance- (Lunesta), simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance- (clonazepam), simple possession of a schedule III controlled substance- (buprenorphine hydrochloride) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Everett is charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule IV controlled substance (Xanax), maintain a vehicle/dwelling/place controlled substance, simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance (Xanax ) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both suspects are scheduled to appear in court on May 15 and are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
