JAMSHEDPUR – World Earth Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Sonari Ashiana Garden in Jamshedpur with emphasis on environmental awareness and sustainability.

The event, led by Suresh Sonthalia, President of Ashiana Garden Owner Association, highlighted the urgent need for environmental protection and awareness.

Sonthalia highlighted the harmful effects of plastic on both the environment and human health, noting its ubiquitous presence in homes, from storage containers to water bottles.

The celebration, held annually on April 22, advocates significant environmental action, including reducing plastic use to protect the earth and human health.

During the event, a march was organized within the community to educate and encourage residents towards a plastic-free environment.

Members of the Ashiana family, including Minister Peona Ghosh, Vinod Sahu and others, have taken a collective oath to eliminate plastic from their colony and stressed the importance of water conservation.

The well-attended event reflected the community’s strong commitment to environmental stewardship and the global movement to maintain a clean and safe Earth.
