Two SA celebrities shot dead

South Africa appears to be becoming increasingly dangerous for its own celebrities, Newshawks reports.

Two more artists have been shot dead, years after AKA was murdered.

No one seems to be safe in the country with high violent crime rates and an unstable social environment.

Unknown gunmen shot dead comedian and DJ Peter Mashata in a hail of bullets in the early hours of the morning.

Mashata was traveling with another passenger when the attackers opened fire on their vehicle.

The other victim is in the hospital after the shooting.

Police spokesperson Colonel Noxolo Kweza said: “Tshwane police have opened murder and attempted murder files following a shooting incident involving two men aged 46 and 45 in the early hours of today.”

Mashata, who is popularly known as ‘Msindo’, was traveling near the Soshanguve TUT campus in Pretoria when fatal shots were fired at his car.

Some of the celebrities murdered in South Africa in recent times include hip-hop star AKA and DJ Somebody.
