Kinly launches a sustainability-oriented CSR strategy

Global audiovisual integration and collaboration services provider Kinly has launched a new corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy in response to research showing that more than half (53%) of companies are experiencing difficulty finding AV suppliers that meet their environmental, social and governance (ESG) objectives.

Kinly’s Trusted Connections 2024 research report, with insights from 425 business AV professionals in the UK, Germany, the Nordics and the Netherlands, shows that while many businesses struggle to find suitable suppliers, around 70% believe is that AV investments are crucial to their 2024 ESG strategy.

Rhea Horlock, Global Corporate Social Responsibility Lead for Kinly, has taken the lead in developing the company’s new CSR strategy. It aims to align business practices with sustainability, ethics and community engagement, helping companies achieve their ESG objectives. Nearly half (47%) of companies are prioritizing improving their sustainability and ESG goals by 2024, and will benefit greatly from working with suppliers who prioritize sustainability in their operations.

Kinly’s CSR strategy includes a commitment to “sustainability by design,” demonstrating its commitment to potential customers through the selection of suppliers that align with their sustainability goals. This can include a range of considerations, from material use to electronic waste. The entire life cycle of each solution is taken into account, from configuration and installation to use and final disposal, with the aim of minimizing environmental impact.

Data on the ecological and social impact of design decisions is provided by Kinly for the benefit of their customer base. Of the many companies undertaking a workplace communications transformation project, Kinly’s research shows that around a third (36%) have seen an improvement in sustainability within a year.

Kinly’s CSR strategy also includes internal measures to address its own carbon footprint and further emphasize the company’s commitment to sustainability. A key goal for Kinly is to achieve net zero emissions by 2050 through the strategic review and reduction of emissions from its offices, vehicles and business travel, and by pushing for similar commitments from its supply chain.

Kinly’s Global Corporate Social Responsibility Lead, Rhea Horlock, highlights the bespoke nature of the company’s approach to CSR and sustainability. “We know there is no one-size-fits-all approach to CSR and sustainability,” she said, adding: “By integrating sustainability into the fabric of our operations, we aim to reduce our impact on minimize environmental impact while maximizing social benefits. .”
