Call it tortured couture.

After a two-month hiatus, Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour resumed in Paris, France on Thursday, and along with adding several songs from her latest album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, to the already extensive setlist, the superstar also treated lucky cardholders to fresh fashion.

Swift performed new songs “But Daddy I Love Him,” “So High School,” “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?”, “Down Bad” and “Fortnight,” wearing a cream-colored dress with a corseted bodice and dramatic hip details and her own lyrics scribbled on the skirt.

She topped it off with a matching white trench coat before getting to work on ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived’ – then opted for a costume change on stage, stripping down to a sparkling black bra top and panties and a gold-colored lamé jacket. the grand finale of the “TTPD” section, “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”

The new costumes fit perfectly with the literature-inspired looks she explored while promoting “TTPD” — think corsets, pleated skirts and lots of black and white.

“There is definitely a ‘literary academic’ style,” Taylor Swift Style blogger Sarah Chapelle told Page Six Style last month. “The images tell a very coherent story, which clearly indicates that they are inspired by female poets of the past.”

The ‘But Daddy I Love Him’ hitmaker collaborated with a number of major fashion houses on her stage styles for the Eras Tour, all of which are inspired by the aesthetic of her previous albums.

Highlights include the bedazzled Atelier Versace bodysuits Swift wears for the “Lover” portion of her performance, the sparkling Roberto Cavalli crop-top-and-miniskirt combos she wears for the “1989” segment and the flowing, fluttering Alberta Ferretti dresses that add ethereal elements. drama to the “Folklore” portion of the show.

And considering that the aforementioned brands have offered different color variations of each look for Swift to switch between as her tour progresses, additional “TTPD” costumes are almost guaranteed to pop up at the upcoming shows.
