O’Neill Health Care’s North Ridgeville location hosting a fundraiser for LIFE

O’Neill Healthcare’s North Ridgeville location, 38600 Center Ridge Road, will host a family-oriented fundraiser for LIFE, a dementia-friendly foundation called Somewhere Over the Rainbow Toto Event, on June 8, according to a news release.

The event, which takes place from 2 to 4 p.m., encourages dogs to bring their owners along, the release said. Costumes are welcome.

Families and pets can enjoy an afternoon of food, outdoor activities, photo opportunities, music, raffles, pet gifts, dog adoptions and more, the release said.

Parking is available across the street and there is a free shuttle service.

Families and loved ones living with memory loss will find a variety of supportive resources at LIFE Memory Cafés, according to the release.

“Thanks to the generous support of community partners like O’Neill Healthcare, there will never be a cost for participants and their care partners to visit one or more of our locations,” said Carole Klingler, CEO and founder of LIFE, a Dementia Friendly Foundation, at the expense.

LIFE Memory Café celebrates grand opening in Avon Lake

Memory Cafés are supported by donated spaces at churches in North Ridgeville, Wellington, Elyria, Amherst, Wooster, Avon Lake and Orrville.

Cafes provide a social space where people with dementia and their care partners participate in art and music programs, pet therapy, exercise and other stimulating group activities, the news release said.
