Gujarat Titans’ commitment to environmental sustainability

Gujarat Titans’ continued association with Nepra Resource Management Pvt. Ltd. (NEPRA) for waste management during IPL matches at Narendra Modi Stadium has shown impressive results, diverting a significant amount of waste from landfills. The extensive sustainability initiatives during the first five home matches of the TATA IPL 2024 season have diverted a significant 75,557 kg of waste from landfills through segregation and recycling efforts.

During the five home matches, Gujarat Titans and NEPRA successfully collected and managed a total of 75,557 kg, of which 6,400 kg was wet waste and 69,157 kg was dry waste. The wet waste was sent to Bharuch Enviro Infrastructure Ltd. sent to compost and convert into valuable organic fertilizer. The dry waste was efficiently separated into recyclable waste such as mixed plastic, mixed paper, PET and non-recyclable waste at Nepra’s material recovery facility. This resulted in 24% of dry waste being diverted from landfills.

Engaging fans for a greener future

In-stadium awareness campaigns engaged fans through pre-match announcements, visual displays, interactive activities and promotional materials. These served to inform and educate fans about the importance of sustainable practices such as waste segregation and responsible waste disposal practices. to save the environment and ensure a greener future.
