Anaheim police officers foiled a bank robbery, rescued a hostage and arrested the robber – New Santa Ana

Today, at 4:40 p.m., police officers responded to a bank robbery that occurred in the 4500 block of E. La Palma Ave.according to the Anaheim Police Department.

When police officers arrived, they discovered that the suspect had kidnapped at least one victim and barricaded himself in a room inside the bank.

In addition to the patrol officers, the on-duty Tactical Response Group personnel, consisting of SWAT officers and tactical negotiators, responded. Ultimately, they rescued a victim and arrested the suspect.

The victim was unharmed and there are no suspects left.

a BMO bank is located at 4501 E La Palma Ave, Anaheim.

Police will be on site throughout the evening to continue the investigation.
