The Secretary General of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has appointed the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, accused of lacking originality and passing off others’ ideas as his own.

He mentioned two different NDC policies that he claims Dr. Bawumia ‘stole’ this.

The National Chairman of the NDC spoke in an interview on Okay FM’s ‘Ade Akye Abia’ on Tuesday, May 7.

“We have not even launched our manifesto yet, but the Vice President has already started stealing ideas such as the free tertiary education for persons with disabilities and the ICT training programs that we had enshrined in our 2020 manifesto. What happens is they have our 2020 manifesto. from which they copied the things we want to do. They do not know that we have adapted the manifesto to the current economic problems the country is experiencing,” said Asiedu Nketiah.

“Bawumia is not original. He has nothing to offer. All he does is copy and paste the NDC manifesto and display it as if it came from him,” Asiedu Nketiah said.

On when the party will roll out its manifesto, the NDC National Chairman told the host, Kwame Nkrumah Tikese, that the party is finalizing it.

Referring to recent opinion polls by a number of research groups, which showed the opposition party leading the December elections, Mr Asiedu Nketiah pointed out that the party should not count the chickens before they hatch, but be extra vigilant. .

“We are aware of the opinion polls predicting a victory for our flag bearer, President John Dramani Mahama, after some eligible voters were interviewed. We know victory awaits us, and it is good news for us, but we must be extra vigilant. to do what we have to do before we can start cheering,” he said.
