Burberry @ 2024 Met Gala with Lewis Hamilton and Naomi Campbell

Daniel Lee On Monday, eight celebrities dressed in Burberry for the 2024 Met Gala, and this year the creative director expanded the color palette beyond just blue and black.

As we all know from these F1 paddock looks, Lewis Hamilton has a very keen interest in fashion.

So much so that he did his own research for this use Burberry look, inspired by Britain’s first black gardener, John Ystumllyn.

On the red carpet, Lewis said “Through adversity, he really triumphed, so that’s really where the inspiration came from.”

Considering the adversity Lewis has faced in his career, from which he has triumphed to win seven titles in the Formula 1 World Drivers’ Championship, the parallels are poignant.

The overcoat remains trendy in menswear, but this one was particularly special with its hand-embroidered floral motifs symbolizing pre-civil war African culture.
