The social enterprise holds fundraisers and campaigns, using the influence of the fashion community to inspire young women.

According to the Couture for Cause website, Patel’s entrepreneurial drive is motivated by her upbringing in India, where she experienced “patriarchal pressure.”

Celebrity hairstylist Chris Martin traveled across the country to attend with Patel.

Casey Curran, who designed the sleeves, was featured with Patel in a group with filmmakers Karina Kandel and Ryan McDaniels, who captured the memorable evening in a series of photos and videos all over Instagram.

The whole thing was put together by American fashion stylist Law Roach, whose superstar Zendaya was also present.
