US senators are threatening sanctions against the International Court of Justice over the issuance of Netanyahu’s expected arrest warrant

Washington: Several US senators have threatened the International Criminal Court’s chief prosecutor, Karim Khan, over the issuance of an expected arrest warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and other officials involved in the genocide of Palestinians.

According to foreign media, twelve Republican senators have threatened in a letter to ICC Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan to impose sanctions on the International Criminal Court if arrest warrants are issued against Israeli officials, including Netanyahu. .

The Republican senators’ letter said that if the International Court of Justice holds Netanyahu or other Israeli officials responsible for the Gaza issue, it would be considered an attack not only on Israel, but also on the sovereignty of the United States.

The letter written by U.S. senators also has the signatures of twelve Republican senators.
