Lucknow Airport Bags Green Leaf Award 2023 for Outstanding Environmental Performance in Aviation

Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport has been given new impetus as it moves towards achieving operational ‘net zero CO2 emissions’ by 2030. Thanks to initiatives on a range of sustainable practices such as water conservation and focus on electric cars, Lucknow airport has taken the lead Green Lead Prize 2023 for Environmental excellence.

Notably, Lucknow’s CCSI airport is constantly receiving upgrades such as the brand new Terminal 3 and those in the sustainability space such as new EV charging facilities. In terms of awards, the airport was also named the ‘Best Regional Airport’ last year, thanks to government efforts to increase passenger convenience.
